ROMELU LUKAKU has torn into his Manchester United team-mates, accusing some of “hiding” out on the pitch.
Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League last night after a surprise 2-1 defeat at home to Sevilla.
After conceding twice in the space of four second-half minutes courtesy of a Ben Yedder double.
Lukaku pulled one back when he fired home a volley inside the area, but it proved to be scant consolation.
And the Belgian striker didn’t hold back in criticising the performances of his team-mates.
“Some players were hiding.
“The deception was really big.
“We started the game well, but we let them get a bit of control.
“We had a few half chances but we didn’t score and then they scored the first goal and tried to chase the game.
“We kept pushing but it wasn’t enough and should have done much better with the quality we have in our team.
“We didn’t deserve it because we weren’t good enough.”
United’s last remaining chance of silverware lies with the FA Cup in the quarter-finals and they host Brighton on Saturday (7.45pm).
