[ history ]

One of Russia’s oldest teams, the Ural football team, was founded in 1953 and has undergone many refurbishments. The last refurbishment was to prepare for the 2018 World Cup.

 [ Design ]

In each refurbishment, the appearance of the stadium remains unchanged. As a historic architectural heritage, the typical Soviet neo-classical architecture and decoration are widely used in the construction of stands, most of which use decorative arts such as sculptures, vases and flags.

Although the stadium temporarily installed roofs and stands in preparation for the World Cup in Russia in 2018, it still retains a highly recognizable historical appearance.

The Ekaterinburg Arena will host four group games, the first round of Egypt VS Uruguay in Group A, the second round of French vs. Peru in Group C, the second round of VS Senegal in Group H, and the third round of Mexico VS in Group F.
