BARCELONA’S top players want Philippe Coutinho to join the club.

That’s according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

Coutinho was expected to join Barca in the summer but Liverpool stood firm and refused to let their star man leave Anfield.

The Spanish giants made three bids for the Brazil international, who handed in a transfer request in hope of forcing through his dream move to the Nou Camp.

And Balague says Barca will make a £133m bid for Coutinho this month, with their top players desperate for the club to land the attacking midfielder.

Balague tweeted: “About Coutinho. Barcelona will soon make an offer of €110+40 (£97m plus £36m).

“Chairman Bartomeu feels in debt to him for how hard he’s trying to go to FCB. Their top players want him.

“LFC have changed their tone but have not put price to him. They will act when offer arrives. Which it will.”

Starsport understands Coutinho feels he has played his last game for Liverpool and he expects to join Barca.

Liverpool are back in action on Friday night when the Reds host Everton in the FA Cup third round.

Jurgen Klopp’s men come into the clash on the back of their impressive 2-1 win at Burnley on Monday.
