ERNESTO VALVERDE has reportedly informed Lionel Messi and co. that Andres Iniesta will not be able to play the full 90 minutes against Real Madrid tomorrow (12pm).

Barcelona are getting ready for arguably their toughest test of the season when they come up against their bitter rivals in 24 hours time.

They currently lead Real by 11 points in La Liga, however Zinedine Zidane’s side have played a game less and could build some momentum with a win at the Bernabeu.

The Catalan club have looked at their best so far this season, dropping just six points through 16 games.

Messi has been at the forefront of their success with 14 league goals as well as six assists.

But there is some concern over club captain Iniesta’s fitness heading into the El Clasico.

Diario Gol report the 33-year-old will not play the whole match against Real and Barcelona are concerned the match will not be over by the time he is substituted.

Iniesta has only played one full match in the Spanish top flight this season, but his influence at the Nou Camp remains paramount to their success.

He has enjoyed one of the most successful careers in modern football having won the La Liga eight times and he has four Champions League winners’ medals.

And he made sure he would always be remembered as a Spanish great in the 2010 World Cup when he scored the winning goal in the final against Holland.

Barcelona will be hoping to exact revenge on Real after being overshadowed by their rivals in the Spanish Super Cup at the beginning of the season over two legs.
