WHILE Philippe Coutinho wants a move to Barcelona and Neymar has just left the Nou Camp, the Catalan giants haven’t always been on their agenda.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca back in 2008 while on international duty with Brazil’s Under-16 side, both players were asked who would be their dream club.
And their answers won’t impress Barcelona fans.

Neymar simply replied: “Real Madrid” to the question while Coutinho went further with his response.
“Real Madrid. It is the best team in the world,” he said.
Asked what their targets were to achieve in world football, both players admitted they had their sights set on La Liga.
Philippe Coutinho said: “The Spanish league because there they are the best players in the world like Robinho and Ronaldinho.
“I learnt to do bicycle kicks watching Robinho on the television.
“I like a lot to watch Real Madrid and Barcelona which are my favourite teams in La Liga.”
Neymar added: “The Spanish league. It is the most spectacular and the best players are there.”
Neymar and Coutinho remain close friends having lined up alongside each other for their country in recent years.
They are both on international duty with Brazil currently and reports suggest Neymar has urged Coutinho to stay at Liverpool and reject a move to Barca.
Coutinho is desperate to leave Anfield and has already handed in a transfer request with Barca intent on signing him before the transfer window shuts.
Neymar had been keen for Coutinho to join him at the Nou Camp prior to his £200m summer switch to Paris-Saint Germain but the tables have turned since his departure.
Whatever happens though, Coutinho and Neymar do not look like fulfilling their ‘dream move’ to Madrid anytime soon.
