REAL MADRID think Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe was a better summer signing than Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele,
Real Madrid were heavily liked with both Mbappe and Dembele during the transfer window, only for the two players to choose different paths.
Mbappe, who struck 26 times for Monaco last season, snubbed a move to the Bernabeu in order to stay in France with PSG.
Dembele, meanwhile, chose to quit Borussia Dortmund for Barcelona as Neymar’s replacement.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims Real Madrid already think PSG have bagged themselves a better transfer deal.
Mbappe and Dembele have both played two times for their new clubs since leaving Monaco and Dortmund respectively.
Yet, though it is too early to properly judge, Mbappe has enjoyed a far more stellar start.
The 18-year-old got on the scoresheet against Metz on his Ligue 1 debut last week.
And he followed that up with a goal in their 5-0 Champions League battering of Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.
Dembele, contrastingly, has started life at Barcelona at a slower pace.
The France international impressed on his La Liga debut against Espnayol at the weekend but was a far more quieter figure against Juventus.
And Diario Gol say those performances have Real convinced that Mbappe is the better player.
Both stars are close friends off the pitch.
Speaking earlier this month, Dembele revealed he talked with Mbappe about his decision to swap Dortmund for Barcelona.
“He is a very good friend,” Dembele said of Mbappe.
“We usually talk on the phone but we did that more during this whole process.”
