CRYSTAL PALACE are reported to be interested in signing Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere in a bid to save their season.
England manager Gareth Southgate has recently warned Wilshere that he must be playing first team football if he wishes to make a call up.
And with time ticking before next year’s World Cup, the midfielder is reportedly desperate to impress before the squad is announced.
However, it looks highly unlikely he will be able to force his way into Arsene Wenger’s plans.
The 25-year-old has been limited to only two Premier League appearances this terms.
So his only option may be to go out on loan in a bid for a place on the plane to Russia.
And the Telegraph are reporting that Palace will make a move for the ex-Bolton loanee in January.
Wilshere’s last appearance for the Three Lions was the humiliating defeat to Iceland, which cost Roy Hodgson his job.
But now at Palace, Hodgson is keen to link up with the midfielder once more.
The Eagles are cemented at the foot of the Premier League table, with only one win and one draw from 11 matches.
