Arsenal & Mesut Ozil
Mesut Ozil once again failed to impress for Arsenal last weekend in the Premier League.
The Gunners lost their third match of the season away at Watford on Saturday. The Hornets had Tom Cleverley to thanks for his injury time winner in the 2-1 comeback victory at Vicarage Road.
Before Watford completed their comeback, however, Arsenal could have secured the points.
Ozil, who started the Watford match on the bench, fluffed an awesome opportunity to score when he was clean through on goal.
Off in January?
At the same time, as everyone knows, Ozil will become a free agent at the end of the season.
On Tuesday, the Mirror have reported that Arsenal are now open to selling the German World Cup winner in January.
That potentially means Ozil only have two and half months left with the Gunners.
But will Ozil actually leave the Emirates Stadium in the new year? That’s up for debate, as nobody really seems willing to take a punt on the playmaker:
Arsenal are ready to try to find a January buyer for Mesut Ozil.
The problem that Arsenal have is that Manchester City are keen on Sanchez but there has been a lack of interest in Ozil.
Inter Milan have publicly admitted they are keen and that is why they are now actively looking round for a buyer.
Manchester United have been linked with Ozil in the past few weeks, however that rumour is omitted from the Mirror’s report.
