BARCELONA star Lionel Messi has reportedly been told shock information about the rift between Paris Saint-Germain duo Neymar and Edinson Cavani.

Neymar has enjoyed a fine start to life at PSG since leaving Barcelona in a world-record £200million deal in August.

But, despite scoring eight goals from eight appearances, the Brazil international’s spat with Cavani has also made the headlines.

The pair were involved in an on-field dispute over set piece duties during PSG’s 2-0 victory over Lyon last month.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon has sensationally revealed that Angel Di Maria has been discussing the feud between the two with Lionel Messi.

Both players have spent the last week together, helping Argentina qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia
And it appears Di Maria confided in Messi about the rift between Neymar and Cavani.

Don Balon say the PSG star told his compatriot that tension still exists between the two players.
It is said that the atmosphere in the dressing room has become gloomier, and many players are anticipating the two players to clash again.

Additionally, Neymar’s relationship with Cavani is not like the one he had with Messi at Barcelona.
During his time at the Nou Camp, he often got on with the club’s No10.

But the report suggests that is far from the case over at the Parc des Prices.
Speaking last month, PSG boss Unai Emery insisted he had smoothed things over between the two players.
“Many of our players are capable [of taking penalties],” he said
“Many of them also want to.

“Edinson [Cavani] and Neymar are ready.
“There will be plenty of penalties and both will benefit from that.
“I have spoken with both of them. I have told them how things will work from here.”
