There’s less than a week to go until the transfer window closes and Man Utd are still being linked with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid will let Cristiano Ronaldo join Manchester United in the summer if they sign Neymar, according to reports.

United’s No 7 has been linked with a return to Old Trafford in recent months as reports continue to circulate he is unhappy in Spain.

The Portuguese star is reportedly so unhappy in La Liga he is ready to call it quits at the end of the season.

And Spanish outlet AS claim Real will let him go on the condition they land Neymar.

Real are interested in the Paris Saint Germain attacker and one of the reasons Ronaldo is rumoured to be unsettled is because he is being used as a potential makeweight in the deal.

But Jose Mourinho spoke about a potential Ronaldo return and appeared to dispel the rumours coming out of Spain.

The United manager said: “To put some water on the fire, I would say Cristiano is the kind of player that every manager wants, every club wants, but only one manager can have and only one club can have – Zidane and Real Madrid. That’s my feeling.”

It all sounds very unlikely.

In other transfer news surrounding United and Real Madrid, the Spanish club have reportedly been in contact with David De Gea’s agent.

There have been plenty of rumours flying around over the Spaniard’s Old Trafford future.

While United are keen to tie him down to a new deal Spanish radio station Cadena SER report super agent Jorge Mendes has been in contact with Real over a potential deal.

Real have reportedly been told they will need to pay a fee of around €100m to tempt United to sell.

One thing’s for sure, it won’t be the last of the De Gea to Real rumours.
